Vidyame keeps the source, translator, sampradāya, lineage, and perspective clearly identified, so each teaching can be understood in its proper home.

See the source. Understand its place.
Vidyame earns trust by making the foundations of knowledge visible. We identify where a teaching comes from, how it has been transmitted, which tradition or lineage interprets it, and who is presenting it. Traditional authority, scholarly expertise, and personal interpretation are not treated as interchangeable; each is identified and understood in its proper context.
02 · Shown for what it is
Source, translation, interpretation — never blurred
A source text is identified by text, recension, and location where known. A translation is attributed to its translator. A bhāṣya, ṭīkā, or other traditional commentary is identified together with its sampradāya and interpretive lineage. Modern analysis and personal interpretation are labeled separately. These layers remain connected without being blurred.

You always know whose voice you're reading
Behind every text, translation, recording, and commentary is a name — an author, a translator, a reciter, a lineage, a publisher. Vidyame preserves that attribution and keeps it visible, so you always know whose voice you are reading or hearing, and from which tradition it comes.
04 · The debates stay visible
Traditional accounts and historical inquiry, clearly distinguished
Indic texts may carry traditional accounts of origin, authorship, transmission, and chronology alongside modern historical, linguistic, textual, or archaeological interpretations. Vidyame presents the tradition's own account first, then identifies other scholarly perspectives and the evidence or methodology behind them. Where conclusions differ, the disagreement remains visible.
05 · Notes, attributed
Perspective added, never overwriting the source
Vetted thought leaders and scholars can add authenticity notes — context, caution, or clarification — and those notes are always attributed to their authors. They add perspective without overwriting the source. You see the note, and you see who wrote it.
06 · Learn, compare, and discern
Inquiry grounded in context
Read the source, understand the traditional commentary, compare translations, and examine other interpretations with their assumptions visible. Vidyame supports thoughtful discernment while recognizing that some teachings require linguistic preparation, sustained study, initiation, or guidance from a qualified teacher.
